Customer Review

“I’m mid-way through (treatment) now and I’m really happy with the results so far. I’ve wanted my tattoo removed ever since I had it done when I was 21. Only 3 more treatments left and it’ll be gone! Really happy I’m finally doing it.”

Tattoo Removal Treatment

Thanks to recent advances in technology, we are now able to remove your tattoo effectively and safely, with minimal side-effects.

How Tattoo Removal Works

We use a Q-Switched Nd:Yag Laser which produces light at appropriate wavelengths to break down the ink pigments in your tattoo into smaller particles.

The body then eliminates the ink particles naturally through your immune system. Around 6 weeks later you will have your next session. You will notice the fading of the tattoo between the sessions until you have had enough sessions to suit your needs or until the tattoo is completely gone.

Is it painful?

The sensation that you will experience depends on which part of the body the tattoo is on and the depth of the ink. Depending on your pain threshold it can feel anywhere between an elastic band pinging on your skin to a splash of chip fat landing on your skin.

How many sessions will I need and can you remove all inks?

The number of sessions required depends on the ink type, colour, depth and the size of your tattoo. The average number of sessions required is 8 to 10.

Our laser allows us to vary wavelength, frequency and power to target specific colours in your tattoo to give the best results. However not all colours can be removed, particularly pastels and fluorescents. It is best to book an initial appointment with our clinic so that your tattoo can be fully assessed.

Prices start at £35 per session depending on the size of tattoo. FREE consultation and patch test.

Laser and light treatment should always be carried out by a qualified and trained professional. The Laser Clinic Cookham is owned and run by Wendy Lynch BSc (Hons) ADipBT, a specialist in Laser and Light Therapy.
